Giving Back

 It is that time of the year, in which people have a giving spirit. Pura Vida is not different. For the month of November, Pura Vida is partnering with the Christian Service Center.  

 The Christian Service Center dedicates their time and services to helping others. The

 Christian Service Center was organized in December 13, 1965 under the direction of the Vine Street Church of Christ elders. Since the organization underwent an excessive amount of growth, the Sixteenth and Vince Church turned over the oversight and responsibilities to the University Church of Christ. Today, the present location is 901 Mesquite Street. It is housed in an old Camp Barkeley barracks donated by ACU. The building was renovated and by the end of 1968, over $28,000 in clothing, cash and other supplies were distributed.

" My ministry is privileged to show the love of Jesus each weekday to those who come to us with a variety of needs. Whether it's clothing, food, household items, school supplies, a Bible or spiritual counsel and prayer- we do all we can to let people know that God loves them and hasn't forgotten them."   

Pura Vida is very excited to partner with the Christian Service Center. Pura Vida's special for November is if you bring in a non perishable food item and receive 15% off any Pura Vida retail purchase. 

Pura Vida invites you to join with them in helping the Christian Service Center continue to aid and serve those in need by providing, food, clothing, cash and other supplies for those in need. 

Pura Vida encourages anyone who might be interested to continue to donate to the Christian Service Center. They accept a variety of goods including, clothing, blankets, towels, sheets, kitchen items and electronics. The Service Center is made up of volunteers so if you are looking for a Christ-centered ministry to use your gifts as a volunteer, please contact the Christian Service Center. 

Their hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 9AM-12PM, 1PM-4PM. First weekend of every month they are closed on Friday, but reopen Saturday, 9 AM - 12PM.
